White Oak Ceramic Bowl

$40.00

This little beauty is part of my indigenous plants of the USA series. After throwing the pot I paint layers of glaze on the still wet clay and then carve out the outlines of the white oak leaves. This is an 18th century Italian technique called Sgraffito. The pot then goes through its first of two firings with a glaze application in between. I love movement in the piece from the painting technique and that it helps me to pause and reflect on the beautiful flora around us!

Bowl dimensions: 3.25” high x 5” diameter
