This sweet little bowl feels like you are holding a little piece of the milky way in your hands. It is made by fusing layers of colored glass together to temperatures of over 1400 degrees Fahrenheit. While the glass is melting I apply over 60lbs of weight on the glass to create a delicate profile before one last firing to melt the glass into the shape of a bowl. Along the edges of some of the glass used in the making of this piece is a coating of a metallic shimmering material called dichroic. This coating happens to be the same material that the outside of certain space craft are covered in which makes the bowl all the more other worldly. This petite bowl is perfect to catch your favorite ring or space rock or simply as a beautiful little adornment on your favorite table.
